Default Solid Memory Foam?

Friend of mine suggested buying several high quality memory foam toppers and then combine them to make a solid memory foam mattress? That just doesn't seem right. Would you sink all the way down to the base?

I do not think the body heat would permeate beyond the first topper, so there would be no benefit from those below. I suspect also this would be more expensive than a single memory foam matterss

I'd agree - definitely wouldn't recommend buying a number of memory foam mattress toppers. The end result won't be as good and it'll probably actually be more expensive.
